This is a new blog about life on a farm in Joplin, MO.
On December 1, 2010 I bought my first home, 3 acres just off the main road in Joplin, MO. 6 months later the Joplin Tornado struck. The 80 year old house remained standing, as did the hundred year old trees that shelter it but Joplin, and myself, were changed forever. I have a new appreciation for my home, each day I get to live here, and the providence of God that spared my home and my life from the storm.
So, this is the story about my “itty bitty city farm” tucked into a stopped-in-time plot of land in the small Missouri town that everyone now knows the name of. I tackle lots of projects- some practical, some silly, and some crafty- and plan to chronicle them on this blog to make them easier to share.
